Use a long drywall screw, screw it into there, and yank out with a pair of pliers.

How do you get the damn screen out under it? I changed the valve but seems pointless by looking at the clogged up screen. I tried but had no luck, seems pretty stuck.

For those that wonder or havent even thought about it, the PCV valve is just behind where the upper intake bolts onto the lower intake. There is also a grommet and breather screen that can and usually need to be replaced, easily picked out with picks or the "long screw and pliers" trick.
Please note - this is not a job for someone with a bad back.
And no, you dont have to remove the upper intake to acess these, but it sure is convienient.

We have some part numbers around here, someone might one day post them here. Maybe me, maybe you.

these images are not mine, thanks to whomever contributed them originally.
