Welcome to the test copy of the new GMN. This is purely for testing. Nothing posted here will be saved, so please don't post anything important here. The data is from a copy of GMN from right around Thanksgiving 2022, so there are some gaps but there is enough here to work with. Please let us know what works and what don't so we can try and debug this before the final move.
Thanks!
the local yard is asking $75 for an 05+ cvpi one. Is that a fair price? or should I find one elsewhere. I have a rig setup in my brain to use the regular cvpi box and still use my maf I have now.
I am doing a few upgrades over the winter and this is one of the issues, my warm air intake sucks at the strip (hot laps own me). So I want to switch to a setup that draws from outside the engine bay.
That price isn't bad if it comes with the air tube, compared to CVN/ebay prices.
As far as the junkyard is concerned, the only 'real' value is the MAF sensor, they may drop the price if you tell them you don't want it. It just slides out of the neck like a little cartridge in the CVPI one.
If you want to spend the cheese, K&N has Cold Air intake for whales that will work with the inner fender mod. Its 300 dollars or so, but Vicky is getting one whenever I get around to putting in a new motor.

Depends what you want out of it... it will still let you be rid of the fugly stock airbox and have the different-and-mysterious appeal, but it's hard to say if it flows more air than the stock setup.
